Indeed, u Jelly is the most awesome name for Tentacruel I ever heard. And the fact that they use full restores is not really that annoying (myself I take it as a challenge) but makes me mad when I’m doing a rerun of the Elite 4 and an attack that has one hit ko’d their pokémon a few times before has now left them with one HP and they go all SURPRISE FULL RESTORE!
What hypocrites. The battles fair when both trainers have the same conditions. It’s quite unfair when you get to stock 99 revives and full restores and the NPC uses 2 items tops per battle (and no revives)
I believe the point is that the person plays it like a link battle, i.e. no items. That’s how I play the elite 4, though I usually allow myself to heal between fights.
Why has no one else questioned his use of a slightly underleveled Water/Poison type that can’t learn any Fighting or Bug type moves against a pure Dark type?
No, just curious about the apparent bad strategy. The E4 isn’t the best place to run in underleveled with a mediocre type match-up. I’m wondering how this ended…
hummmm, considering how great tacticians most pokemon trainers are, I would say that yes, being smart enough to use healing items do qualify these guys to be elite trainer. It’s annoying as hell, but they are supposed to be hard to beat…
Exactly. The only reason these people are complaining is because they hate challenges.
OH NO, YOU HEALED YOUR POKEMON, ELITE 4. NOW I HAVE TO TRY AGAIN
I just hate that 90% of the time it just delays the inevitable… they have sturdy or focus band on one pokemon, I’m sweeping because, hey, type advantage. That’s the one pokemon they use it on (really, only one that survives long enough TO heal)… and surprise surprise, my attack after they healed puts them back down to one health. What did their full restore accomplish? nothing! At best it wasted 1 pp from my side.
Just a point… given Tentacruel’s pretty high base HP stat, there’s no way it could be level 44 and only have 131 health. Though why would anyone want to shop this scene?
You have to prepare for at least 4 full restores but not more than 2 on a single pokemon. I try to get them to spring them on a weaker one before they bring out their ace or one with a superior type match up or move set.
i love the name of your tentacruel
and indeed, it’s annoying when they do that x.x

UMADBRO?
No, I Nomad.
^This
Pisses me off so much when that happens
ROFLMAO
so well put
I’d rather that the Elite four were just given stronger pokémon, than allowing them to use full restore all the time.
Agreed.
Pokemon emerald?

Who the hell honestly goes into an Elite Four match with no items without being on some sort of challenge?
It’s more fun, makes the fights more exciting
I one time went against the elite four in my emerald with only 6x full-restores 2x hyper [potions 1x max potions and 2 revives. Won by a Swampert
Agreed, i’d rather have them do what’s needed when they have to than have their team totally sweapt
Hey memebase! *Trollface* RED uses Full Restore too!

No, I don’t. I never used any items during my fight with the Elite 4. Simply used super effective attacks 1 hit KO’ed everything. Problem solved.
I only agree if you don’t use them during battle either. That also goes for leftovers, berries, etc. Besides I try to only deal in one hit KO’s.
Why does that go for held items? I just play linked rules, No Ubers, No items use (non-held), no evasive moves (double team) etc.
Why has no one else questioned his use of a slightly underleveled Water/Poison type that can’t learn any Fighting or Bug type moves against a pure Dark type?
BECAUSE RAW POWER!
U jelly or something?

Go cry about it.

Tentacruel’s Health at level 44 is 124 – 165 (based on IV’s and EV’s) so 131 is definitely possible (Though his Tentacruel isn’t very good).

That’s why I grinded to Lv. 70.
And I STILL had trouble.
(Possibly because I used only four ‘mons. Even still, two of them fainted during the battle with Wallace. I don’t remember which ones.)
and this is why i am the champion. i kick their ass into the ground without healing or defensive moves
