  1. Yeti says:

took me SO LONG to realise that Hoenn had been rotated

  2. Joe says:

Yes! I’ve wanted a game like this for a while now. I think it would be amazing.. They just need to tweak the plot lines to form a big continuous one that doesn’t copy the ones from the games that already exist.

    • Jake says:

To be honest they should let you play as ash. That way when you go to your third region you arent like lvl 100. You should have to drop off all your pokemon and do a new region.

      • The Foz says:

        Kinda defeats the point though…

Why not just play the old games through to get that

        • Lugia says:

One thing they could do is have “customs” stop you from bring your Pokemon over a certain level into a new region before you beat it’s league

          • Bisharp says:

Yeah that would work. I’ve been thinking it for a while now.

Not sure if it would fit on a DS/3DS cartridge though.

          • Troll Feeder says:

That would work. The PC systems aren’t created by the same person, Bill, Lanette, that person in Sinnoh, and… whatever that chick’s name in Unova was.

It would get a little repetitive, though… so maybe it cuts out the tutorial after the first region and just says “Here, take a Pokemon”, introduce your rival, have a battle, and then you get right to it. Naturally, your Pokedex would start on National and you’d get the Regional Dex when you meet the professor (after that first battle, methinks)

            • mpau says:

No, you would have regional for whatever your first region is, then national after first pokemon league, then the regional for all of the new regions.

              • MegaMetal96 says:

OR they could just give you a national dex

                • Norris says:

Or why not make it so instead of being your standard pokemon trainer , let you become a freelance trainer to say sign up with one of the teams, run a pokemon gym (and also progress to an elite 4 member), become a professor, or just be another random trainer.

      • Gabriel says:

Except Ash is horrible and couldn’t even get rid of the three dumbest members of Team Rocket?

        • Mere says:

I mean, I guess you’re forgetting how they blasted off in every single episode, to the point where he actually said, “I don’t have time for you today” and got rid of them in the first five minutes of an episode in Sinnoh?

It’s not his fault they kept coming back. I guess he could have just MURDERED them, but that’s a little hardcore for a kid’s show, don’tcha think?

  3. Anonymous says:

ok i admit (sadly) thats its been awhile since i played the older games. bottom left is Kanto, Big long area just above that is Johto yes? or…no wait..thats Johto and Sinnoh together? and then the top right would be Hoenn? or are Hoenn and Sinnoh switched?

    • Anonymous says:

but also, yes, this would be kewl. Well we have black & white, so maybe this could be in gray? lol

    • Mc-Turtle says:

Top right is Sinnoh, under it is kanto with johto on the left. All of the island under are the sevii’s island (or something like that, from the lastest red and green games). Next to it is another thing that I have no clue about (the “add this” thingy). Under it is Hoenn but rotated and at the top left is Unova.

      • rertetretrte says:

I think he meant it as a new region, like, it’s the game you’d except for the 6G, you begin at “add this thingy”, then you go to hoenn, then visit kanto and jotho, take a plane etc (or another order)

      • Joe says:

Actually those islands are the Orange Archipelago from Season 2 of the anime.

      • misdreavus says:

I think Orre from Pokemon Colosseum is in there somewhere too

      • Fatefinger says:

Those areas between Johto and Hoenn are from the Pokemon Ranger games. While the islands to the south are the orange islands. Unova is the seperated region in the upper left corner.

        • mpau says:

I think the south part might be from, but the north part of that is Orre turned around, the island in the north is Citidark from XD

  4. shogun_nesto says:

Didn’t the S.S. Anne frequent Johto as well?

  5. YEGIS 79 says:

The bottom left is Hoenn, then to the right is a map that doesn’t exist (yet), then it’s Johto, then Kanto, then way up north is Sinnoh.

  6. Andres says:

Add Orre and Orange Islands and I could die happy.

  7. Foxtail says:

I know not that many people like the not-so-battle-y stuff, but I would very much love to see a return of the contests, the Pokeathelon, the PokeWalker, following partner, and a Battle Frontier with ALL the old challenges. (Yeah, I know the last one is very much battle based, thank you.) Keep the musicals… Make secret bases available everywhere (not only Hoenn)… Much bigger Entralink, with maybe some WiFi capability there… Rematch calls, VS Seeker, Safari Zones, Radios… Real difficulty in the gyms… Lock Global Trade until after two regions’ Pokemon League… Choose starting region… Berry Pots and Berry Plots…
I rant. No guarantee for a Gray, but if you look at the recent pattern we’re likely to get a remake of Ruby and Sapphire within two years.

    • sintheheretic says:

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY INTERNETZ!!!!

    • Nick Hann says:

Yes all this, then some kind of final ultra elite 5, the champions of all the regions, you are allowed 6 pokemon no items, neither are they, beat all 5 on the trot with no healing in between, but i guess that is just a dream with no real chance of materializing. ah well

      • Foxtail says:

Elite League would fit perfectly somewhere in that vast, region-less spot between Kanto and Sinnoh(6 Champions given that you include Gary as the weakest of the six and go Gary > Lance > Wallace > Steven > Cynthia > Alder, and assuming leagues remain at original set per region and you include the change of Steven to Wallace in Emerald…). I must say though that I love the idea of the champions also remaining in places where you can spar with them as well. Maybe a graduating PokeDex as well (Travel through one place and the next region’s PokeDex is the upgrade for yours…). I enjoyed the Ball Capsules, too…

        • Pailzor says:

I’d say reverse the champions order. I don’t know the timespan between all the games, but if it the games’ order is also the chronological order of story, then based on Red being so much stronger than even the Elite Four in Silver/Gold, then Blue/Gary would logically be the strongest by now.

Also, it’d be great if each game’s starting city was a little more developed now, due to the fame of their game’s playable trainers becoming Champions. “More developed”, meaning “another house or two”, so you can choose your region also, and there’s new houses for these new player trainers (and rivals for each region you didn’t choose). Your rivals would be the male and female player trainers you didn’t choose, unless your avatar is customizable… Then that bit’s out the window.

          • Nick Hann says:

I’m trying to think of a way to incorporate the starters from the different Gens, anyone have any ideas?

            • Nick Hann says:

and of course the legendaries, there would be soooo many, Lugia, ho-oh, 3 regi’s, 3 birds, a latios or latias, one of the dogs, mew, mewtwo, just to name a few. Oh god the idea of this game is just making me gasm

            • storm says:

easy, where ever you choose to start you would choose one of those starters, and each new region you can get a starter from there, either from a “side-quest” deal or the local prof.

              • Nick Hann says:

but that would mean you could have a team of starters, awesome of course, but you know…. kind of….argh can’t think of the word, bit to kind of easy. easy still isn’t the right word but close enough

            • Darko says:

I was thinking of picking from a new set of starters like one of each type, and it was like your partner pokemon that could evolve a lot of times.

        • Troll Feeder says:

Hm. I’d say Alder is weaker than Steven, but stronger than Wallace. The “one-type” Champions should go before the varied ones.

So… Wallace, Lance, Alder, Steven, Gary, Cynthia is the order I’d put them in.

Or just make it like the Elite Four in Unova and have you battle them all in order up to you.

          • M says:

Also, with the new region you would have a 7th Champion…

          • BR8N03epsilon says:

The seventh champion will be Red. He would be epic. It’s be like in Johto. He says nothing before the battle, and after defeat he simply grabs the player’s wrist and pulls him into the Hall Of Fame room, and registers him. The room designs would be as follows:
A room of water with an island containing Wallace
An empty room with a few flying Dragon types to provide a walkway, Lance being on a Dragonite
Alder on a still Bouffalant in the middle of a herd, walking across the herd causing the player to unintentionally move
A room made out of metal with grinding gears and such, Steven standing on a horizontal gear
Gary will be standing in a plain room
A dark room with a spotlight on Cynthia
a room split into three section of Fire, Water, and Grass, with Red on an electric area in the center where the other three meet.

    • Dragon393 says:

I wish they had contests in the games like in the anime. I would probably sit there for hours trying to think of good combinations and such, lol

      • misdreavus says:

        ^This

The game contests were good, but the anime ones were so much better, especially since there was a battling aspect to them as well.

        • Foxtail says:

But if contests were created to collide with each other, then an effective battle and contest strategy would be difficult, because if it appeals well, then it isn’t supereffective in battle, and vice versa. Maybe a separate contest league that more models the anime?

        • FlameUser64 says:

This. I totally think it would be cool to add doubles contests as well.

          Also, six-player multi battles, please.

    • Jenny says:

I also wish for the Pokewalker and following partner things to come back.

    • artimies7 says:

I’d rather just take one or two mechanics from each region and mix them up.

Example: Pokewalker, Following First Pokemon, Secret Bases, Berries from plots and pots, Battle Frontier, and some sort of re-battle for dynamic AI vs.

It’s to simplify the programming. Some of these are a bit redundant and therefore might glitch up the code.

  8. Josh says:

actually unova is modeled after new your city, particualy manhatten cuz of that big city plop down on that middle island

    • Lugia says:

That’s why it is in a box on the corner, because it wouldn’t fit in the scale. And why you need a plane to get there

  9. Anoel says:

That… would be really cool! An easy way to catch them all, in their own regions! You would not have to port! And… I could finally (legally) play through Hoenn!

  10. Lyra says:

This would be awesome, but I don’t think that the DS could actually run it.
And I really don’t want to play that on the Wii…

  11. CronoTW says:

I prefer an airship than a plane to travel Unova-The new region.
And I also want the Sevii Islands and all the Battle Frontiers.

  12. Zachs Kappler says:

Is it just me, or does that contient look just like Japan?

  13. Tatersack99 says:

Can you enlarge Hoenn a bit? Hoenn seemed a lot bigger.

    • Aerodynamik says:

Nope! The size, shape and placement of the regions are based on the shape of Japan. Making Hoenn bigger would either require making the Pokémon map different from the real world, which they prolly won’t do, or physically enlarging the actual island of Kyushu, which is even less likely.

  14. Viktormon says:

Make cities and areas for the whole continent and make a open-world Pokémon MMO, I say.

    • Viktormon says:

Or leave out the MMO, and just make it possible to play it co-op. Seriousy, I wanna explore the Pokémon world together with my best friends, like Ash… does.

  15. Qfvjiyr says:

What’s that meme where there’s the guy spewing rainbows in front of a computer screen? Because that’s how I feel right now.

  16. HumanAtlas says:

Whoa, I can’t believe this got featured! I added the other region by using paint to a previous map. (source: http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/102/3/d/Pokemon_World_Map_by_Cadellin.png)

  17. 8bit says:

It’s arranged to look like Japan…

    • Lugia says:

Are you a psychic type? Yes, all the game regions (except unova and orre) and based on locations in Japan. (Unova’s new York city, and Orre is another place in America).

  18. ravinrabbid123 says:

    Add the Orre region too!

    • mpau says:

I agree, it should connect with the Hoenn dessert and then link to either johto/kanto, unova, or both

      • Aerodynamik says:

First of all, Orre can’t connect from the Hoenn desert to anywhere else because not only are the outer limits of the Rout 111 desert already defined, but Hoenn is an Island, and you can have a desert that extends underwater. Also, for future reference, Kanto, Johto and Hoenn are all located in Japan, while Unova is located in North America. (Near Manhattan, to be precise.) Any feature of Pokémon geography that would stretch from one to the other would have to be 6,500 miles at least.

    • crubs says:

orre was based off of arizona, so you’d need another plane.

      • dutch07 says:

Well, if Unova is based off the states, I’m sure Orre can be nearby.

        • wakawaka says:

no, Crubs is right. geographically it would be too far to do anything but a plane. (or a boat, but that would take AGES)

          • MegaMetal96 says:

This. They may be in the same country but they are still very separate geographically, Amurica is one of the biggest countries in the world.

  19. Red says:

srsly. Kanto is in Kanto ( Kanto is a legit city in Japan) and all of you interwebz trolls say Kanto is in the Bottom left. (Btw apricorns DO exsist) (Sorry for my bad engrish)

  20. Psygirl says:

Am I the only one who missed the berry plots? I used to spend hours when I younger growing e-reader berries in sapphire version…stupid dead clock battery. The berry pots were just not the same.

  21. jhopps says:

Kanto and johto need to be side by side sorry just play gold/ silver

  22. Rey says:

is the “Add This” Orre, some other side map, or some fan map? I thought it was Orre, but I could be wrong.

  23. Mike2 says:

What are the cities southeast of Sinnoh with no roads connecting them?

  24. scottahemi says:

do eat!!! though there’s still half of that kanto/Johto island left unexplored… maybe like 100 new pokemon live there that no ones seen befor D:

  25. feraligatrthethird says:

Bonus points for having the plane go from the city in Unova where there actually is an airport.

  26. Sam says:

This map is invalid because you forgot that about the SinJoh mountain range. (The area you take arceaus to get Palkia giratina or dialga)

    • Lugia says:

The ruins are slightly above blackthorn, which you can see is a HIGHLY mountainous area in this map, which is completely consistent with the Sinjoh ruins. They’re not between them, they’re ruins which were built by natives of Shinnoh in Johto

  27. vanille says:

Sinnoh’s Land area is equal to land area of Johto and Kanto?

  28. Name says:

Unova is part of a much larger land mass across the biggest ocean on the planet. That landmass has experimented with nuclear technology and used it war. They also have Victini.

    • Lugia says:

That’s why it’s in a box in the corner, it’s not part of the same landmass, it’s in Poke-America, not Poke-Japan

  29. Lolcatslauger says:

sam is right the sin-joh ruins are supposed to be inbetween johto and sinnoh meaning 1)this map is wrong and 2)sinnoh and Johto regions are supposed to be like on top of each other AND 3) sam and me are epic for being the only 2 people to figure that out

    • Mikie says:

actually if you look at the in-game map when you are in the Sin-Joh ruins you’ll see that its location is not that far above blackthorn and the lake of rage.

    • M says:

Nope, I think that the ruins are somehow in an alternate dimension created by Arceus, (you have to bring him to activate event) for the descendants of the inhabitants of Johto.

  30. Robertpokememe says:

    Epic Win!

  31. Unova’s on another continent. True story.

  32. Charon says:

I never understood the whole “WE WANZ A GAEM WITH ALL REGIONZ” thing.
Why in the world would you possibly want an even more remakish game than the remakes they already made?

Normally people would point at remakes and go “boooooo old same crap” but oddly I have seen Every single person on every pokesite post this awful idea that they want a game with all regions at some point in human history. Its like Gamefreak has to reeeeaaaally resist pumping out more remakes.

  33. HOLY CRAP Ths is awesome says:

Soo… lemme get this straight.. every single region (with or without the new region in black/white?) is in this picture?

can somebody email me with the labels for each? or spam me……
    @parislad@live.ca
    and I aint a troll… my cousin is -_-

  34. Nicxtrem99 says:

WOw no ones noticed this is japan?

  35. Jbot says:

They could call it Pokemon Rainbow

  36. Darko says:

You start somwhere in “add this” get to pick a starter/guardian of any type, that can evolve 5 or so times, and the starters are all new. They follow you around. You are selected along with 5 other trainers who each choose a random type. these are your rivals, and they all travel to diffrent regions. you can travel back and forth between each region, when you get a certain item (plane ticket, boat ticket) and the gym leaders are the same one’s they’ve been in most recent games (janine instead of koga) because some move on to the elite four. (not sure what i’d do with kanto lance) there is also like weekly tournaments in a certain addThis city, where one of your rivals or a leader may appear and there can be tag team tournaments where you can team up with an npc. The battle frontier is in the sinnoh place. There is a level x and only guardians can reach it. there is pokewalker and entralink(still in unova) and a chance to catch all legendaries. no point in gts cause it’s all the regions and normal starters (bulbasaur) will be wild in their respective regions. there will be no game exclusive pokemon. no pal park (again, no point, all regions) but maybe a safari zone. once you beat every single gym and elite four, you qualify for ultimate battle tournament. in the tournament, you battle your rivals first, then the champions, and then red, and then ??? the ultimate opponent who has all lv100 or x. no healing during battles, only in between. there will be special x moves stronger then blast burn or any of those, but only guardians can learn them at lvx. (I actually got this from a fake) the mascot is arceus, and it is called Pokemon Fusion.
^^TL;DR, but worth it in my opinion :)

    • Matt says:

      Had a similar idea.
You start out as your Mii character on a random island. You meet Gold/Ethan, get a Pokemon, fight for a bit, basic tutorial entirely optional, meet the Professor, get the Pokedex, and Gold/Ethan offers to take you to Pallet/New Bark/Littleroot/Twinleaf/Nuvema Town and back to the island you live on with some kinda vehicle., and you can have him take you to a different region at all times (exact tile you last stood on, ofc). You can’t take any Pokemon with you from region to region, though. Instead you get the Pokemon that were in your party and PC the last time you were in that region. You get to choose 5 starters, of course. 5 regions, 5 rivals (or 6, with 2 in Unova). At the end of any Pokemon League, you can do the Sinnoh Battle Frontier with any Pokemon, and after you get all 40 badges and talk to the Professor, you get access to Mt. Silver. You have to go there with some other vehicle on that small island for whatever reason. If you go there, you have to choose one of your five sets. In the last bit after that Rock Climb, you will meet Ash, he’ll talk for a bit, and you fight. Then there’s a battle with Leaf outside, and finally one with Red. Your Pokemon get healed before each fight. Leaf, Red and Gold/Ethan all talk, of course. And what the heck, just add Yellow and all the others to Mt. Silver, before the Ash part. There is no particular mascot, and you can choose a Pokemon to appear on the title screen. You can interact with the Pokemon like you could in Pokemon Dash’s title screen.

Now let’s go find the perfect balance between our ideas, and hope they make it.

  37. Mr Charizard says:

Boats: They can cut through Land

  38. Dere says:

They really need to bring back the ability to visit old regions. It’s ridiculous how they’re trying to cram in old Pokémon in the new regions (without including them in the regional Dex) in increasingly more convoluted ways, like the Poké Radar. Plus, it makes NO SENSE that one third of Unova has old Pokémon, yet they aren’t included in the Unova Dex.

  39. MikkyJade says:

anyone else notice that its in the shape of japan?

  40. Nick says:

PLZ let it happen, I never went to Hoenn! XD
